Tap Takeovers at End of Elm
One Thursday each month, seasoned beer connoisseurs and those new to the exploding craft beer scene have a unique opportunity in Morristown: the tap takeover at End of Elm. We have hosted tap takeovers at End of Elm since May of 2014, and they have proven to be a win-win-win for our establishment, the breweries and especially our customers.
Just what is a tap takeover? For the unfamiliar, a tap takeover is more or less what it sounds like. We partner with an outstanding brewery and temporarily dedicate up to half of our 24 draft lines to beers from that brewery. The beers range from the brewery’s year-round core offerings to very rare beers that are brewed once a year or even less frequently. Sometimes, we even include a cask (a small keg) of beer atop the bar, which contains special additives to change the beer’s flavor or hops profile. This results in a beer that most people have never before tasted and that very few will ever have the chance to taste. We always have a representative from the month’s featured brewery on hand to field any questions you may have about the beers, the brewing process, the brewery itself and where the industry is headed in the future.
