If anything illustrates a culinary trend, it’s encapsulated in End of Elm’s popularity.

This glossy gastropub has replaced Hennessey’s Washington Bar, an old-fashioned and much-loved Irish pub tucked away beneath the railroad trestle near the Morristown station. The building was gutted and renovated, outfitted in earth tones with high-backed banquettes and a communal table (seating 14 to 16) to loosely separate the dining area from the bar.
